URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 698 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 900 PM CDT Mon Oct 2 2023 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of East-central and northeastern New Mexico Western Oklahoma Panhandle Western and northwestern Texas Panhandle * Effective this Monday night and Tuesday morning from 900 PM until 400 AM CDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible SUMMARY...An organized line of thunderstorms over east-central and northeastern NM will pose a threat for severe gusts and occasional hail as it moves northeastward across the watch area tonight. Isolated severe thunderstorms with large to significant hail also may still develop ahead of the line. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 50 statute miles east and west of a line from 35 miles south southeast of Tucumcari NM to 45 miles west northwest of Guymon OK.
